The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle: Day One) The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
It has been a long time since I have read a book like this. I love it, I cuddle with it, I dream of marrying it. Everyone should read this book. Everyone.

Kvothe is a legend among men. In this first book of the trilogy, Kvothe begins to recant his life story to a scribe. It is very well written and keeps you pulled in the entire time. There is never a dull moment.

Wow, what I just wrote sounds lame. But I'm in a lame type of mood today. So this is what you get.

Thomas Hardy said it best

Everybody is so talented nowadays that the only people I care to honor as deserving real distinction are those who remain in obscurity. -Thomas Hardy

This is one of my favorite quotes by my favorite author.

Everyone is capable of great things if they only try. I find everyone to be endlessly fascinating, if you only sit down and really talk to them. I want to meet the people who are great, but living in obscurity. Not announcing their greatness to the world in hopes that someone will believe them.
